Soak yourself beautiful

I found a rather interesting article saying Naomi Campbell takes a ½ hour bath with a mixture of Epsom Salts, raw apple cider vinegar, and kosher salt in it. Apparently, the Epsom salts, high in magnesium, relax muscles and lower blood pressure. The cider vinegar is rich in malic acid which helps other products like moisturisers penetrate the skin and restores PH balance and the kosher salt reduces water retention.

In fact, the article goes on to say there’s no clinical evidence that any of this would work whilst soaking in a bath but it must surely have some benefits. Allowing yourself a ½ hour free of interruptions, giving yourself quality time to relax you will feel the benefits.

Here are some of the other bath additions the article suggests.

De stressing - add a muslin bag of oats, a splash of milk and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Cleansing - add a teaspoon of baking soda and a few slices of orange.

Skin soothing - add 2 tea bags, 1 tbsp olive or Rapeseed oil and a few drops of vanilla essence. (If you’re adding oil to your bath do take extra care when getting in and out as it will be rather slippy).

Sleep boosting - add 3 to 6 drops of lavender essential oil, a sliced lemon and a chamomile tea bag.

Pick me up - 2tbsp of honey, a ginger tea bag (or slices of fresh ginger) and a handful of crushed mint.

We’ve no idea if any of these ideas work but we all need some time to relax, to recharge batteries, anything else is an added benefit.

Let us know if you try any, what did you think? Did you feel better? Or did the dirty bath out way any benefits.
